Superstitious selectively on some things, and not on others. Things like not walking under a ladder, black cats, and so forth seem like philosophical tugs of war between the wiccans-pagens and the catholics put into everyday life. Karma is better to observe than these superstitions that we pick up from other folks without knowing why. So its Friday the 13th. What's your problem, anything yet?
