god this stupid thing. i just typed out a whole long message and my login had timed out.
try this:
start/run
telnet your.mailserver.com 110
user yourusername
pass yourpass
dele all
quit
.some servers don't accept dele all. they will accept dele [number]. i can see that would be an immense hassle, but if you have a file full of numbers (or any simple programming languages) you could find/replace it to produce a file of
dele 1
dele 2
dele 3etc.
i'm sure there are a ton of freeware apps out there that will also allow you to do this (eg nonags.com).
as you say though, if they're continually coming, rather than just sitting on the server, it's not going to do you much good as you're going to have to keep going in there and fixing it. calling the people who're doing it would do some good if they're continually being sent, as they could turn off the computer that's messed up.
