first of all, i like debating with you, you are far more intelligent than most these flaming libs i encounter on here. so anyway, to the issues. they are in iraq to liberate the iraqi people from saddam and find weapons of mass destruction. they did the first one, and the second one is currently under investigation. Look into what they found in jordan just recently and that might be the answer to where the WMDs are.
and to the question of why they are still there. cmon man, lets not throw out reason all together. If you invade a country, it is your responsibility to make sure it gets back up on its feet. If we were to just leave, the country would go into utter chaos. And the only reason that civilians are dying is because our troops are dealing with the extremeists who are mixed among the civilians. You are bound to kill some civilians when they are interwoven with the enemy.
and there hasnt been that many deflections. Look at the numbers dude. 12 million people in the country of iraq. perhaps 5000 have defected. 5000 out of 12 mil is a fart in the wind.and as for me not helping out over there. I dont really want to get into it with you. I have my reasons, but they arent really of your concern.
