The Smiths are one of my all time favorite bands. If I had to choose an album that really changed my perspective on music it would be Strangeways Here We Come. Must have been in 5th grade when I got that on tape.
In fact, Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me is the only song I plan on covering in my band. I've just worked it out recently and if you can imagine that song played by Mogwai, well, there you go.
But I love The Smiths, genius lyrics and very unique songs.
Never was too into Morrisey but glad to see that the new album is supposed to be very good.
