I think you meant to type:
"Its proven to degrade your mind and increase your susceptibility"
And when you said:
"Just think about the greatest artists on the planet.."
I think you forgot to mention Van Gogh, Tchaikovsky , Cobain, Rachmaninoff, and countless others whos lives were ruined by various addictions and other artificially induced depression and depravity.
