Yeah its a problem that has its good sides and bad. I have been looking to do any internship in Germany or the general area when i graduate.
Though I think they are completely more generous in Europe than America in terms of internships, it becomes so frustrating because of work visas and living costs.
I have only seen one offer that gives even a somewhat signifcant stipend for an internship. It would basically be enough to go to work, eat saltines for all your meals and pay your rent. That's it.
