this film is UTTER BULLSHIT. mel gibson is leading the charge on behalf of the extreme right neo-conservatives out there. passion is a complete mind and emotional porno. this is a weak attempt to brainwash people and convert them to some sect of christianity.

jesus christ is at the top of my heroes list. he taught unconditional love, sacrifice, etc. but i think the biggest thing missed by most christians is that he was a revolutionary. he stood up against the state of caesar, against the unjust ways of the Pharisees. he led his fellow jews to resist the romans and become free in spirit. he said i do not follow the laws of man, but the laws of god. it's funny how people who blindly follow their "leaders" (church, government, whatever) truly beilieve that they are followers of christ. in times of now where there is constant war, hatred, misunderstanding and orwellianism, this movie has been released to do the exact opposite of who the Christ was really about.

and i really think that all of his miracles should not be taken literally. i think they are artistic renderings of what really went down in those times. maybe i'm looking at it too politically and socially, but i can't help it - i don't believe in fairy tales, i believe in the real world that exists outside the movie screen.

almost $360 million made before this weekend. is this the evangelistic message of Christ spreading the globe? mel gibson gets the hypocrite of the century award, hands down. wasn't george w bush supposed to make a cameo at the end of this film? hahahah - sorry had to throw that in.
