yeah.
Wish i was in my teens then, but i was 20, bartending at a club in Philly, and the band came in one night after a show.
I was a HUGE fan of them, so it was a treat just to get to meet them, but we got talking, and they hung out with me, my GF, and our DJ after we closed for the night. McCulloch and Sergeant left for their hotel at around 4am, but DeFreitas stayed on with us kids.
We talked about all kinds of crap, but to be honest, those were the days of much chemical excess, so the wee hours are a bit blurry.
I do have a scribbly note on a napkin with some lyrics he made up on the spot.
Nice guy. It was so sad when he died.
