    We managed to make a multipart message that had an embedded swf . If the security settings on your machine did not allow the viewing of the SWF then you had a background image (using CSS) behind the sfw at the same dimensions. This was also a hyperlink to take you to the SWF online.

    Client was happy enough.

    (the multiparting was a complete nightmare though.)
