once you realise that's it, its finished and there's nothing left in you, walk away. never look back.
to me the rest, the going back and forth, will only serve to create more painful memories and ugly moments, thus making a really bad situation much, much worse.
save yourself that agony and give yourself a real shot at a future with someone who is clearly not the one you are with now.
sounds harsh, but for me it has proved to be not the only way.
