I moved over to Michigan from California to finish school. I didn't know anyone and went in blind. While I was there I decided to take a little time off and move to Germany for 6 months. Again, not knowing anyone, or German. Both experiences were life changing for me. I have never felt so lonely as I did in Germany the first few months, but in short time I was loving my experiences. School was the same way, I met life long friends who have travelled out to Cali to visit me since.
