me = dutch as well..
and i say rotterdam is the shiznit for good new media happenings and developments (culturally far more progressive then Amsterdam imo), but if you like coziness and good nightlife you might reconsider.. Amsterdam is still one of the better places to be for (any) food, drinks and getting wankered.
Housing is really a tough biz there and i wish you a lot of luck finding a box to live in during the next ten years or so... but then, anywhere in NL it is hard nowadays to easily get livingspace..
and don't come for the weed, there's plans to completely ban it again in NL.
