I remember the 1st time I took mushrooms..
It was a rainy halloween night, and my friend gave me a bag, which I promptly ate all of, not realising they were for all of us.
10 mins later I couldnt see a thing, and went to lay down.,
In my swirling psychedelic confusion, a voice got gradully louder and louder..
Mikey - you;ve got 10 minutes til you die, youve got work out what its all about, and why its alright to die..
    then 5 minutes, then one..
I no longer had any sense of where I was, or what position I was in, or what time it was..
An infinite time of 1 thousand of my own voices screaming at me later, I was in a smooth white room with all the people I really loved, exlplaining to each of them why Iloved them, what life was about and why it was 'alright to die'..
When Id done this, it was my time and the white walls faded and revealed the view from above the car I was unconcious in; I could fly around in what I realised was 'real time'. I knew I needed to get to a hospital, so I 'flew' to the local hospital and tried to alert the staff to my plight, but having no body was somewhat limiting and I could get no response..
After much soul searching, I gradually drifted away from the earth, 100% convinced I had died, it was fantastic, I had made my peace, as I saw the earth suspended in space, as one gloriously beautiful thing, whole and one..
Some amount of time later (subjectively weeks), I was crawling to an upright position in the back of the car, alive..
Certainly did me more good than anti-depressents..
Soon after, I left my shitty college and took up an alternative lifestyle promoting raves and making music, and have never really ever been depressed since.
    Just my 2c..
