  Rasko,
  I think I define 'derivitive' and 'reformats' in different ways.

  'Derivitive' is something that changes the past slighty. Like a plant that grows a different shaped leaf.

  'Reformats' uses the past in a more elemental way. Like a plant might use nitrogen in the soil in a way that it becomes a completely different plant completely.
