The phone is my best friend...I pick up the phone, call up directors, get thier name and jot down thier interests and such, not really looking for a job but more to make a friend...wouldn't you give a job to a friend if you could????
Seriously I learned this trick from Bill Clinton, get index cards and keep thier names, hobbies, kids names, etc etc, as you talk to someone be sure to mention somethiong about thier life, works for me.
