well, i don't understand why football isn't progressive to the point of being somewhat futuristic. I mean, if ya'll want the Matrix, then let's have it....quarterback has five buttons attached to his helmet, when he presses one, he is able to teleport to an ancient Roman coliseum/sushi bar where high paying spectators watch him do battle with various cloned and hyrbidaizations of jungle animals (saw this the other night on Fox TV with athletes competing against animals) but this also includes jellyfish and manta rays, clones of their abusive fathers, women dressed as US Taliban in Football Jersey Chadoors, etc...all manner of enemy combatants.....
