I support the troops because I don't like the idea of people dying and being killed, no matter who they are.
However, they signed up for an organization that has its primary goal to kill people and has a risk of being killed. To me, you have to have a certain personality to sign up for something like that. And you have to expect either to happen to you. Kill or be killed.
The war itself is unjustified and unfortunately the troops are in the hands of a madman.
