For some reason £200/day seems like a pretty generic day rate. But a with all things, how good the client thinks you are, how much money they have, how much they expect to pay...all plays a part.
I have tried at certain times to ascertain a clients budget and quote accordingly depending on how much I like them or the job. They are usually pretty straighforward if you just ask them.
In your circumstance, ut's sort of like trying to find water with a divinig rod.
