yes and no. it works really well if you think with the client not against the client. doing exactly what the client wants prolly will lead to the client being unsatisfied which he/she projects to you which could lead to losing the client (worst case scenario). i would strongly suggest talking to the client and explaining the situation, the pros, the contras, give him/her all the alternatives (a solution with gifs instead of txt would be very workable). at least give the client the idea that you are a thinking with him, that you are trying to solve the problem. if he/she choose to remain the same and will run into problems later he/she won't project it on you. seriously. think about this.
