    Thanks for the info guys, I mean variables are used for a lot of things, but why the book doesn't give the right explanation without going so deep into programming? Why not something like: What are variables? How can we use variables? Examples of using variables? They just explain variables with text and data manipulation, I mean I know everything has a character name (files), but they don't put constructive examples for the non-programmer.
