The new Tesla Roadster reveal is 'interesting' - the McMurtry-like underfloor-suction with a deployable skirt's a great idea (one which I'm sure Musk will claim as his own) but the addition of a Literal Fucking Bomb with the compressed gas canister is... I mean, what the fuck?
It's nerdcoregasm, but in reality.. I mean, it's a fucking bomb. If that car crashes, or the canister fails, it'll kill everyone within 20 metres.
So odd.
So Over The Top.
So Bullshit.
So Musk.
- At least - my problem with super cars, since I was a kid has always been "yeah, but it doesn't fucker hover or fly, so what's the point?" Still unsolved.Nairn
- Heck, even the 1 second 0-to-whatever using the compressed gas is a danger to anyone or anything behind the vehicle. There's no practicality to it.Nairn
- I can't see this being produced ever... the speed it jumps, spins and goes 0 to 60 at would actually be w/enough force to detach a human's retinas.PonyBoy
- iam gonna drive a cybertruck to counteract the explosion... safety firstneverscared
- Yeah, PB - there's no way the compressed gas thing's going to be street-legal without some Trumpo-Muskian intervention.
It's all so.. diversionary.Nairn - The downforce skirt thing's bonafide though. A shame that, like so many other things over the years, it's not commoditised by the British inventors :(Nairn
- If Fucksk invents inertial dampening... then he's got my attention.PonyBoy
