I'm so fucking dumb - like fundamentally, inherently dumb.
I use Illustrator every day. Have done for at least twenty years, but have used it regularly since '99 or so.
You know how the artboard sits in the middle of a greater expanse of space? Oftentimes I have to prep the build out of large format jobs over this space, but it's always slightly irritated me that the artboard gets in the way, interrupting, say a grid of prepared designs, or the material layout for a job's cost calculation.
I can move the artboard, can't I? I could just stick it up at the top, or move it down to the bottom. Heck, if I'm feeling fancy, I could stick it in a corner.
Why have I never made that obvious leap into the entirely known?
Whenever I work with paper-sized jobs I move artboards with wild abandon, but my standard laser template? Apparently it has been immovable all these years.
Fucking idiot.
