Do you ever want to buy books you already own ?
I have 2 copies of some art books that I love so I can use one extensively and keep another in perfect shape.But sometimes, especially when it comes to comic books, I can feel the need to buy some over and over again though I usually don't act on it. I do own several different editions of comics I adore, the issue is when I want to buy one I already own, just because it's $12 and why not.
Ii think it's of course admiration for the work but also a remnant of childhood fascination due to the "scarcity" we experienced in our youth. Some books were so hard to find that finally laying eyes on them would be a real thrill. Plus, we simply couldn't buy everything we wanted (not that we can today either!).

- yeah absolutely, I'll see a comic book on a wall for like $20 and think ah man I wish I bought that back in the day or one day I'll be able to afford it...and_niko

- I’m also trying to complete my uncanny xmen collection 100-300 and I’ll pop into random comic book stores and buy issues that I’m missing, problem is I go mostl_niko
- ...mostly from memory and I end up buying the same issue twice, some three times! lol_niko
