  This deserves its own entry because it became a miniature QBN mythology.

  The debate saga eventually became entangled with an entirely different dispute involving AI and calculators, plus a bizarre tangent about transgenic tomatoes.

  One user returning to the thread asked what the hell had happened.

  The explanation was essentially:

  somebody threw a tomato at a calculator.

  That sentence became shorthand for the whole incomprehensible saga.
