QBN's most impressive “event” may simply be that it refused to die.
The site's ancient threads remain accessible, including discussions dating back more than two decades.
The enormous blog thread has accumulated more than 76,000 responses. In one later discussion, a returning user essentially described QBN as a place where old designers who had been around for decades continued to congregate.
The response was:
“nobody can leave here. Nobody!”
That may be the single best description of QBN.
