    Before QBN was QBN, there was Newstoday. The archive contains people talking about discovering the site around 2000–2002, including users who remember the old-school community, old usernames and the infamous “banzored” strike emails.

    One particularly memorable account recalls opening Newstoday on a laptop in bed and accidentally blasting the site's “NEWSTODAY!” sound loudly enough to wake his future wife.

    This is foundational QBN mythology.
