i'm doing the same thing at the moment. my partner and i have put £1000 in each and i got £1000 invested from someone else. we're doing our first recording in about 4 wks time. we're not bothering with 7s because of exactly what aurablue mentioned. i'll be stuck with them in my kitchen and they'll be a permanent reminder of my failure if they don't shift. so we're making 500 CDs and hoping to sell a lot more as mp3s. i've always hated the thought of selling and marketing but i've realised that if i'm going to make a business that i enjoy work and still feed my babies i'm going to have to bite the bullet. anyway, that's just me. i got a couple of books about promotion and marketing music but the best one i've read so far is this one;
