There were toddlers at my sons nursery that quoted Snakes on a Plane and that was 20 years agoPhanLo - Also having worked in primary schools in the past. I once worked in a school where 60% of 11-12 year olds couldn’t read or write properlyPhanLo

- My kid (8) quotes movies and devours physical books daily. And yes of course we read books too. All kids use the school library too. Every daymonospaced
- The kids I worked with were from an area that had a dead industry, that led to a influx of heroin parents and just general poverty.
Could barely read at allPhanLo - Were they swiping on books like they're phones? I'm sure their reading situation is subpar but do they not know how books work either?BK
