please god, someone tell me why people are interested in huge notebooks????
if you want a massive, heavy, thick system with a big monitor, buy a desktop.
if you want a portable solution that also works well at home as a desktop, buy a monitor and a docking station.
if you *think* you need a massive notebook screen to show off pretty work to clients, you don't. clients don't give a shit as long as the work is good.
if you continue to *think* you need a large display to show off work, drop the cash on a small, cheap projector.
i just don't get it. it defies logic. buying/making a *portable* computer that takes up more space and weighs as much as my desktop.
please, someone give me a viable reason for the choice.
i bought a notebook so i could take it with me easily. so i could work on the road...so i could work at lunch at the coffee house, at the pub when i'm enjoying a beer...i have a desktop to do work on at home. i don't want to lug 6 pounds of computer around with me through airports and to bars. i don't need a 17" monitor taking up my precious lugage/bag space nor my pub table drinking space.
it just baffles me. 15" should be the biggest notebook sold.
