I was braindead / zoning out @ around 11pm last night **watching a video** in Quicktime a client sent me of them sharing their screen and scrolling / clicking through a massive adobe workfront dump PACKED w/conversation / requested updates and of course full of multiple pages of graphics etc (my design work)... TONS OF TEXT CHANGES... long paragraphs etc... *click *click *click burning through each note so I can see it for all of half a second at times (I was sitting there hitting pause nonstop for a good 2 hours to get through all the updates).
I say I was 'braindead / zoning out' because I was just exhausted... I had forgotten I was **watching a video** (a simple mp4). Like a half asleep overworked zombie I clicked into the video to try and select the paragraph of copy that I could only see for half a second in the mp4... AND IT SELECTED... AND COPIED AND PASTED... I could literally select ANY TYPE in the video from wherever it was paused...
... OUT OF AN MP4?????
Um... RAD!!!
First time I've actually been grateful for some AI integration into an app that didn't drive me nuts always getting in the way... it's still a bit untrustworthy as it does get some type wrong but who cares?! RAD, I SAY!!!!

- There's so much going on it's hard to be on time for "the game". Are we almost to the point that if we can think it, we can make it happen?canoe
- wait, what, a client sent you a video of corrections??? fuck's sake the world's gone mad...hans_glib
- We should have a thread called Useful AI and we just drop what we think is new and good.Longcopylover
- I noticed something like that fairly recently as well.. being able to copy text from a source that (until now) I'd never been able to... definitely a surpriseexador1
