Yeah! If I could sell my G4 for $500 I would. I have a 400mgz. I can do most anything with it. Of course, 3d renderings take time but I can work nicely with 50-100 mg files in photoshop without much of huge problem. Nothing I would define as a 'stall'. Web stuff blinks by, of course.
I'd install a 80 or 120 gig drive in it to save your work and keep the 10 gig for applications. Boost the ram with a couple sticks of 250mg ram and you have a workable machine.
At least for a couple years!
Of course, $500 more would get you a faster laptop with a bigger drive.
