I made a brand a few years back and was then asked to design a roundel version for a metal stamp, which I did dutifully, as always. The original design had been based on a font that I modified a few glyphs of and nixed the entire lower case from, but when it came to designing the roundel I accidentally used an earlier test version of the font that I stupidly still had installed. On that one, one of the glyphs that's used in the brand had what I think is a significant detail missing.
I only realised after the stamps had been made and I saw with horror that they weren't right.
Client hasn't noticed in all these years, but every time I get a test from him with the stamp used on it, I wince because it's beyond obvious to me.
