    Finally got Airpods. Opted for the Pro 2 on sale. Coming from Earpods, i gotta say I'm surprisingly very much not blown away.

    - Sound is worse, I can hear the wireless compression.More bass, nice.

    - ANC is very good, and that's the main selling point for me.

    - However, ANC is dangerous in traffic. I like to be able to hear my surroundings as well as the music. And the passthru mode is complete ass, it picks up wind and amplifies it, forcing me to use ANC - which again, is dangerous.

    So now I use both. And i use the EarPods more than the AirPods.

    Hmmmm :-/

    • You can reduce the compression, at least. But also, it’s dangerous to use any headphones while driving or biking in traffic, not just these ones.monospaced
    • @mono I know, and I agree. But ANC makes it a lot more dangerous, IMO. You're more or less in your completely isolated little bubble.jagara

    • @robthelad I'm more or less all digital (with a mall vinyl collection). Digital is fine. Overly compressed digital sound sounds like feces though.jagara
