    Music-o-tard here.

Earlier this evening, as I awaited my oven warming i sat at the kitchen table and noticed the cadence and rhythm of some blind slats as they blew around from an open window in a specific and neat pattern. Blinds slapping regularly in the wind, heavy blind ends decribing a beat every second or so as its edge hit against the wall.

I decided to record some of it.

I want to 'map' a portion of this recorded sequence to a sample with a regulated beat - I want to be able to shape and stretch the waveform to fit a regular pace, and so re-sample.

What do I use for this, please?

    Thank you.

    • You could probably smash out a hit record on GarageBand. Or some ambient, tranquil beats. Wherever it takes you manIanbolton
    • I'm not a Mac, sadly.Nairn
    • Koala app on phone would be a good & affordable place to do this relatively easilyletterhead
    • Easy and automatic in ableton. I’d imagine the free version cover it.mort_
    • I agree ableton live might be the fastest route to having something you can mess with / add effects / other instruments to!mantrakid
    • Thanks all, I'll look into Ableton!
(Me from Twenty Years ago is terribly disappointed with contemporary Me).
