I wish people would just wait for the evidence to come in and also realize it's not a game where you win a prize if the shooter happens to agree with your political enemy more.

Like niko said he comes from a Republican Mormon family. In spite of that he could very well end up being left-wing...that was always the more likely explanation since he shot a conservative...but that doesn't mean people on the left are collectively responsible for the actions of one emotionally disturbed person.

Seems pretty simple but a lot of liberal influencers on Twitter and Bluesky apparently can't handle this any more than the MAGA people can.

    • Right. Take HIS politics out and we see a gun issue, and that’s political. Damnit!monospaced
    • Bolt action rifles wouldn’t be on any ban list, though. any gun control wouldn’t have kept this one out of his handsGnash
    • My bad, you’re totally right. Nothing at all about gun access is relevant in a gun shooting in a nation where it happens far too often.monospaced
    • He’d still have access to the gun he used so ya, not relevant hereGnash
    • Maybe there isn't a specific law that would have stopped him but you can't ignore that guns are a big part of the culture. I think there's also a socialyuekit
    • contagion aspect to all these mass shootings, kind of like how serial killers used to be a big thing in America.yuekit
    • Nope argument over. It’s silly to talk about gun control it doesn’t work. Anywhere ever. Move on.monospaced
