There will soon be a time when AI is so good, its trusted beyond reproach. It's going to be telling us a whole load of things we don't want to hear about life on this planet. Things we think are ridiculous but the data has been crunched, patterns recognised and the future predicted. Like left handed people shouldn't be allowed to adopt, people with long ring fingers shouldn't be allowed to own guns, immigrants under 5'8 shouldn't be allowed in the country or ginger haired men over shouldn't work in the school system.

    • What you describe is not a realistic path.

AI can model correlations, but correlation ≠ causation.

    • Predictive models will surface patterns, but most of the examples you gave—handedness, ring-finger length, height, hair color—are pseudoscientific proxies.zaq
    • They have no causal or ethical basis for decisions about adoption, immigration, or employment. Using them would be discrimination, not science.zaq
