    • the reddit is full of these. a few where it's nuked their entire github :D vibe coders without safeguards. i had both sonnet and gemini delete files from mykingsteven
    • system which cursor couldn't recover, but i had everything backed up. one thing i really like about gpt5 is it makes far fewer assumptions like this.kingsteven
    • If an AI coders can't comprehend the importance of backing something up before deleting it then how can you ever trust it, basic common senseprophetone
    • That's like the first rule of coding, always have a backup or mod a copy ONLY because stuff ALWAYS goes wrong... in this case it's 'sorry bro my badski'prophetone
    • Straight nuking a Github repo is madness lolprophetone
    • 'Vibe Coding' - as much as that term gags me with a spoon - is fine and freeing for experienced devs to freestyle stuff with basic safeguardsprophetone
    • But I've seen so many tiktoks of 'vibe coders' who are inexperienced noobs looking all cool, trusting every output as gospel... but tragedy and tears await lolprophetone
    • this is just the other side of that. + it's a meme to hate on cursor since they changed their pricing. i don't believe any of it.kingsteven
    • i would love to see the steps leading up to this where he gave permission to run the command :)kingsteven
