Audioengine S5 is a great option in the near field desk speaker area at that price. Beautiful too.

- I was looking at these the other day. Did you get the subwoofer to go with it?Continuity
- I didn’t. If my room was bigger and I was going louder I might. But these PUMP.monospaced
- They look like they're excellent room-fillers all on their own. The space I'd put them in is about 23 square metres.Continuity
- They’d probably be fine. Self powered and passive options available. Solid built too.monospaced
- I still have the A2 (first gen, no bluetooth, bought them out of a wired review, when speakers started to be relevant for computers).uan
- I upgraded them with a bluetooth dongle along the way)..you don't need the subwoofer for a small room imo. they got plenty of power (even the A2).uan
- I too rocked some original A2 speakers I picked up in 2012. Amazing little things.monospaced
