Do you not understand the roots of the music you claim to like? Detroit Techno wasn’t born in luxury lounges or tourist café, it came from the ashes of industrial collapse, systemic neglect, and the genius of African American futurists. The very sound you're seeking was forged in exactly the kind of place you're ridiculing.
If there were no "ghetto," there’d be no Techno. Not as you know it. That soul, that grit, that innovation? It came from struggle and survival.
And as for mocking me for DJing and going to warehouse and loft parties, were you expecting a Heineken commercial with everyone in Prada? Is that what you respect?
Honestly, I figured you'd be into the raw, Blade Runner back drop and dystopian aesthetic of raving among decaying factories while legends like Plastikman, DJ Bone, Claude Young, James Pennington, Drexcya and tons of others are banging the box. I guess I overestimated you.
