Yeah they had a career trajectory that unfortunately is common...make good music when they're young followed by about 20 shit albums that only their fans care about.
Their early stuff was much more raw sounding and fit into the Britpop scene that a lot of good music came out of. But after a couple albums it began to devolve into mediocre stadium rock, which made you question whether they even understood what was good about their own music in the first place.
