I'm not a big fan but have seen them twice - in their prime. First time was when I won a pair of tickets to see them on TV show called The White Room, which also featured PJ Harvey, Paul Weller and others and yeah, they were good, it was obvious even then they would be HUGE one day, the tunes! the confidence! the arrogance!

The second time was later in 1995 at Earls Court in London, they were even better, they had mastered the giant venues and Liam strutted around telling everyone to "fook-off", they had the massive hall in the palm of their hands. By the time of the 3rd album it was all over (for me) they just went off like old milk, but 94/95 they were the best band in UK no question. These days it would be like going to see The Stones or The Who, too expensive and long passed their best.
