I now need computer glasses and a daily pair of progressive lenses for when I am not in front of the computer...

    Thoughts so far...

It feels like progressive lenses are some sort of scam by the optometry cartels to just sell bad quality lenses. They just make me feel like I am going blind when my line of sight falls out of the focus zones.

Probably need that 80s glasses strap too because I keep resting my new glasses on my head forgetting about them then bending over to grab something only to have the glasses fall off my head.

Instagram hotties are much sharper now though...

    • i recently stared wearing glasses for close up stuff and now have a pair in every single situation I need them, because of course, they're never to hand if not.Nairn
    • I have 3 pairs I swap around throughout the day depending on what I'm doing (from being in front of a screen to driving)... not a pair less than $650 :/PonyBoy
    • Yes, progressive lenses are a scam.
      Stick it to da man.

    • my first time getting glasses... optometrist recommends progressives for everyday use. maybe should have asked questionsjonny_quest_lives
    • but the optometrist never mentions distortion zones when she pitched them... you unfortunately learn about the zones when your glasses arrivejonny_quest_lives
    • and the assistant is fitting them attempting to to sugarcoat my dissatisfaction by telling me "they take some time getting used to"jonny_quest_lives
    • "you need to move your head more" or "practice at home with them" so here i am practicing the ben franklin stare in my mid fortiesjonny_quest_lives

    • Progressive lenses gave me the shits, so have x2 pairs of diff single lens. One for comp work and other for reading close.sab
    • My second glasses are long distance but adjusted to see at a distance from my chair to my computer screen. Much better than progressive or office glassesGabriel
