    Finally got around to integrating Claude to work in VS Code. All the coding stuff I'm doing on my art tools has been copy>paste from Claude into VS Code. It was amazing to just give prompts VS Code, watch it describe what it was going to do, display code side by side and make the needed updates.

    • niko - Claude obliterates GPT for complex, longer code. I was having too many issues with GPT, and Claude handled things with no problems.mg33
    • One of my art tools (HTML, CSS, JS, running locally on my NAS) is up to 5,400 lines of JS now. GPT was failing at a little under 2k lines.mg33

    • You have to buy credits / tokens to make it work, though. I might stick to regular Claude for basic things, but not having to copy/paste is great.mg33

    • I wish you didn't have to buy tokens. Even when I move on to an app project next, I'll probably just copy / paste from Claude into VS Code to save $.mg33
