Watching good movies at home instead of with the the dumbest people humanity has to offer is far is a superior experience to going to a theater.

We have the technology now. Good screens, good sound, at home.

Goodbye, idiots. I won't miss your phones, your loud and smelly eating, and most of all, your out-loud comments showcasing your retardation.

    • Couldn’t agree more. It’s also amazing how many people STILL downplay the HUGE importance of good sound these days.monospaced
    • Putting in a legit surround system and getting the biggest screen I could for my space was the best decision a few years back.monospaced
    • Escaping the crowd is the main advantage, imho.jagara
    • If you're only watching on a basic tv, then you're missing 90% of what you paid for in the theater.monospaced
    • You're right, we do "have the technology" to get theater quality A/V at home, which is why it makes sense to implement it if you're gonna avoid the theater.monospaced
    • 55 inch TV, good headphones, I'm happy.jagara

    • I have a nice little Epson HD projector and Bose speaker system which works nicely, but I still enjoy a trip to the cinema.Ianbolton
    • My partner scrolls her phone much less at the cinema and can’t ask for pauses to go get MORE snacksIanbolton
    • There is a huge difference between art house cinemas and the PEPSI MEGAPLEX CINEDOME, of course.jagara
