I don't pay a lot of attention to modern stand up comics, but a random assortment of YT videos recently led me to see that - and correct me if I'm wrong - there's a growing trend of these total bro comics growing in popularity? And they've all got podcasts and they're even kind of having beefs amongst themselves and spend more time critiquing others' routines and jokes than doing their own work? And the comedy is evolving to a bit more of an observational insult / put down than anything else?

I don't even know if that makes sense, but from some comments and videos I feel like the comedy scene is massively different from what it was even 10-20 years ago, where it seemed like everyone supported each other.

    Thoughts?
