    Mirrors my own experience 100%

    • I'd shift all of those further up a bit. similar to high framerate for games, I'd rather my eyes/brain do the anti-aliasing than the tv.akiersky
    • Plus, it would be rare to find things like HDR, high contrast ratio or good color on TVs with less than 1080pakiersky
    • TVs don’t do anti aliasing lolmonospaced
    • They don’t make any TVs at 1080 and probably haven’t for a decade.monospaced
    • aah, good point. I guess I was thinking about downsampling.akiersky
    • I'm just saying that with my 55 inch, I can't tell the difference between 1080p and 4K, from a 2,5 meter distance. Well-encoded 1080p looks great.jagara
    • I have perfect 20/20 vision.jagara
    • With my 75” at 3 meters I can tell. I wear glasses.monospaced
    • Good 1080 still benefits from upscalikg to 4k, which Sony TVs do really really wellmonospaced
    • How about Samsung?jagara
    • My 8yr old stands 6 inches away from our 65" TV to play FIFA.HAYZ1LLLA
