Is there example of people comitting suicide simply because they aren't particularly interested in living? Like, "yeah ya know, tried life, to be honest, it's not for me, meh - inferior product, I'll just choose to end it at a Dutch euthanasia clinic, bye".

    Not considering this myself.

    • I seriously doubt it.mort_
    • Such an extreme violent act doesn’t come out of indifference.mort_
    • True words mort, although why would one's deep and profound suffering lead to such a brutal end. While another would see the challenge as a worthy fightIanbolton
    • But like you say, that's not indifference. Some people do have shitty lives though, and there's no denying there's plenty of suffering in the worldIanbolton
    • Childhood trauma leaves some dreadfully ill equipped to weather the natural ups and downs of life.mort_
    • Imagine how painful and alone life must feel for someone to do that.mort_
    • i mean, if you're anything other than a template/generic human being you're deemed as a mental health problem. So what do we expect?Ianbolton
    • Statistically, we're killing ourselves more than each other. :-(Ianbolton

    • Happens all the time. There's a graff guy I chat to via Insta, from Paisley near Glasgow. Four of his childhood friends killed themselves in the last yearPhanLo
    • He's only 35PhanLo

    • Most of the deaths of friends in my generation were accidental overdoses, but suicide is becoming more common as I've got older.PhanLo
