We live in multiple realities.
The reality of the political and news establishment where everything is doom and gloom and the nuclear clock is perpetually at 11:59
The reality of religion where everything is doom and gloom and will be so for eternity unless you repent, put money in the basket, grow your beard, pray 12 times a day, hate everyone that doesn’t believe in the same fake god as you and generally do what ignorant dessert scribes thousands of years ago said to do.
The reality of online influencers and podcasters where everything is unattainably awesome but 100% bullshit or also doom and gloom, whatever gets people raging or envious enough to keep clicking or buying what they’re shilling.
Next reality is the cesspool of social media, this is the final circle of hell where the worst of humanity comes out...abandon all hope ye that enter here.
And the final reality is our day to day lives where we still open doors for each other, thank people for letting you in on the road, donate to the needy, give blood, fill out organ donor cards, attend each others festivals, sing together at concerts, cheer together at sporting events, eat at each others ethnic restaurants, buy coffee for the person behind you in a drive through, shovel a neighbour’s driveway, give a stranger a battery boost and a million other acts of kindness that we do daily for people that look and think like us and for people that don’t.
So maybe if we concentrate on living in the real world, it’s not so fucked after all.

- I can't agree with this at all. liars for a living create the illusion of having "multiple realities". average people share these to feel important, and smart.********
- Sandy Hook is one of the most sickest example of this.********
- Where politics, religion and the online communities decided to ignore reality.********
- u have to feel comfortable inside doom and gloom..... i think it was the standard protocol during the cold war...so u better know how to handle it by now...neverscared
- virtual digital life or not..neverscared
- yeah sted, if we focused on reality on sandy hook, the community would have been there for the families, for the school system for everyone hurt by it and_niko
- figured out a way forward, to heal and to get help for those in need in hopes that it never happens again, nut the other layers of reality didn't allow that. So_niko
- are we not saying the same thing?_niko
- Like we talk shit to each other constantly on here, some of it's venting, some of it's ball breaking some of it trolling and some genuine concern but I bet_niko
- if any one of us went out for a beer with NBQ or hotroddy we'd have a normal conversation and a great time._niko
- ^ Well, let's not exaggerate, now, niko.Continuity
- lol ok, we'd have a normal conversation and not kill each other?_niko
- Nope.
Well, you and I would certainly get on fine, but not me and that other filth, no.Continuity - Hey man, I got thirteen kids to feed!utopian
- Yeah I just realized that we're saying the same thing, sorry.********

- Everything is perception anyway. I like to choose the perspective that moves me forward while acknowledging that there are countless perspectives to choose fromcotton
- its easy to think that everything is perception until something permanent happens to you.********
