since we know the size of the earth (They also figured that out by looking down a well :). ) it takes the moon 4 hours to completely cross the earth's shadow and it takes the moon 28 days to gat back to the same spot Therefore some quick maths = distance of the moon from earth, it's orbit and it's size. brilliant.
and yet in 2025 we have mouth breathers who still think the earth is flat, and Jesus makes the moon and sun appear each day and dinosaur bones were planted by satan to test you.
