Had an uncle (my moms brother) die unexpectedly overnight.
He was a wild man through life, never really "took off" in life / failure to launch.
Drugs, booze, etc. etc. etc.
Heart attack.
NOT unexpected, BUT start to think about NOT making an effort to see him more, have him over for family meals these last few years, etc. etc. etc.
Just another perspective on time, family, life, etc. etc. etc. on a cool Canadian Monday morning.
I'm trying to practise awareness more these days and perhaps this is a note for you to do the same as time passes.
XO to you and yours.
- 66 years old SOOO again, NOT unexpected AND (generally) an age where this type of lifestyle catches up with you...ideaist
- yeah that always sucks. and we inevitably regret not reaching out/spending time more. It's tough. when you have kids, family, work etc etc._niko
- but even though he didn't take off, it sounds like he enjoyed the ride while he was here :) and hopefully brought some joy and good memories to loved ones_niko
- @_niko I agree; he certainly did whatever he wanted whenever he wanted, which is great for him!
Death (& taxes) just suck, I guess.ideaist
